Remember when a supposed N8-01 was leaked including a bunch of other devices including something called the Nokia ORO? Philip has emailed us details of the Nokia ORO. Cheers for the tip!

Well, I went to a phones shop called “Svyaznoy” yesterday and took their catalog. And there was the Nokia ORO in the “upcoming” section.
Now, let me tell you about some functionality and appearance of the smartphone. First of all, it’ll be a very expensive device like Nokia 8800 or 8600. It’ll cost 44990 Rubles (~$1635). And that fact could be explained by the body materials of the phone. The back side of the ORO is made of natural leather. The front menu keys are made of sapphire and a border is covered with gold. Keys on the right and left sides are covered with gold as well. Software features are pretty similar to that we could see on the Nokia Astound (C7). A list of the other specifications of the phone is written below:
  • Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, EDGE
  • Display: AMOLED, 3.5″, capacitive touchscreen
  • Camera: 8 MP, HD video recording (720p), front-facing for video calls
  • Internal storage: 8 GB, microSD card slot
  • Talk time: up to 9.6h, stand-by mode: up to 555h
  • Symbian^3
  • GPS
Release date is unknown now but there’s a inscription “Soon” and if it’s written, the phone, probably, will be available next month.
The scanned image that proves all of the above is attached to this message.

A quick search shows no news yet about the Nokia Oro on the blogs (at least google isn’t finding it). However, there as one place. Charles Porter has actually had some hands on with it.

The world of Charles Porter is totally different to anything else you will have experienced before. This is a world that takes quality and pushes it to a new level. This is a world where no matter how well known you are, you can rely on our absolute discretion. This is a world where the impossible is attainable.

This is the world of Charles Porter.

Well, the C7 is a looker and would most align with high fashion. It’s a little like an updated Vertu.
